Born in the 1980s British Hong Kong periods, we are grown up and surrounded by the strong colonial aesthetics. Walking around neighborhoods in Sheung Wan was our favorite thing to do in Hong Kong. Rise to the Mid-levels to admire the many handsome classically-inspired Edwardian buildings and façades, the unique blend of colonial style architectures with traditional Chinese words is always fascinated us. We hope to capture this bit of fading colonial charm in crafting the mug details and 香港 typography style. To reconnect to the colonial British Hong Kong that we are grown up in, and to remind our next generations this piece of fading culture through the everlasting ceramics.

Please Note: Handmade Characteristics When you choose one of our ceramic pieces, you are choosing something truly unique and made with love. Because each piece is carefully hand-crafted using the wheel-throwing or slab-building technique, you’ll notice subtle variations, like gentle wobbles or minor shifts in form. These aren't flaws, but the sweet evidence of the human hands that created it! Our signature Moonrise glaze often dances a little in the kiln, resulting in delightful little pinholes, bubbles, or tiny specks on the surface. Occasionally, you might spot a very small, dark, and slightly rough bit, that's just the natural clay body peeking through. We believe these special details are what make your piece one-of-a-kind and a story only it can tell.
